What Is an AED Grant Program?

Sudden cardiac arrest occurs when a person has a dangerously fast or irregular heartbeat. The AED provides an electric shock to the patient in order to return the heart to a normal rhythm. Since both situations involve a patient’s heart rate reaching dangerous levels, AED and CPR are often a part of the same training.
