This year is a special year for us. Penn Care is celebrating 30 years of serving the EMS Community. On March 16th of 1987 Penn Care established our business where six employees turned out a complete line of emergency products and vehicles in Warren, Ohio. We then risked everything in a leap of faith that Penn Care would succeed. We started without knowing whether anybody in the world wanted us. We had no market research department, and no one able to explain what Penn Care was. So we did it ourselves.
During our 30 years at Penn Care, we have learned to develop a successful business and also what it takes for a business to sustain. Over the years we have had many challenges and had some famous competitors: Dyna Med, Parr, Trenton Surgical, Counts Rescue, all larger competitors; but they are no longer in business.
We have a motto we take very seriously: Be better here. Each year we work hard to improve what we do so that you, our customer, will have a better experience. We take a lot of pride in this culture. We’ve worked hard to build it and we work every day to maintain and improve it.
A Chinese proverb says, “By the work, one knows the worker.” The hard work and excellent reputation of Penn Care is because of our remarkable “workers.” They are creatively driven, highly-valued people that work toward achieving our fundamental goal, becoming the standard of excellence in the market. This, coupled with our loyal colleagues and customers, some of which have been with us for these 30 years, makes our homegrown business the national success which we celebrate today.
In celebration of our 30th anniversary, we are running an Ambulance Sweepstakes to give an EMS Department a chance to win a brand new ambulance. This Ambulance Sweepstakes is co-sponsored by our two Ambulance Manufacturers which we represent as dealers, Braun Ambulance & Medix Speciality Vehicles. This is our way of thanking all our colleagues. Our success depends on our clients’ successes.

Congratulations guys on the 30 years. It seems like yesterday we were riding in the Lanes Ambulance to PA when for you to pick things up when you started as salesman. You guys have worked hard and deserve the success. It has been a pleasure watching you grow the Company over the years. I know it has been a lot of good times and some rough times. Congratulations!!! I well remember going to the basement of a home on Patchen Drive. Just about the same time that a couple of guys were starting a new Ambulance Company that everyone said wouldn’t last more than a year or more. 2618.png☘️2618.png☘️ I guess the Luck O’ the Irish ( plus some damn good business savvy on all involved in both projects) and determination to be the best has paid off. Again Congratulations on a major milestone for not only Penn Care but both of you!!
