To maximize the shelf-life of batteries it is strongly recommended to deplete all inventory within 6 months from time of purchase.

Battery:
• The LSU must be placed on charge for a minimum of 4 hours to reach full battery capacity.
• The LSU must be charged between each clinical use – to maintain satisfactory operation of the battery.
• To prolong Battery lifetime, it is recommended to place the Battery on continuous charge. It will not harm the unit. If continuous charging is not possible, charge Battery for minimum 4 hours once a month.
• If LSU battery is kept on constant charge, perform device test at least once a month to exercise battery.
• Do not store the battery when it is discharged. Always fully charge the battery before storage.
• Replace the battery when it does not pass the Battery Quality Check or after 3 years, whichever comes first.
• The battery warranty period starts when Laerdal ships the battery to the customer or distributor.  Although not a requirement, Laerdal expects the batteries shipped to be placed into Service (and start recharge cycle) within one year.
