The ASTM F1671 - 07 is a test created to measure the resistance of materials used in protective clothing to the penetration of blood-borne pathogens using phi-X174 bacteriophage penetration as the test system. Not only do the Halyard Nitrile Gloves pass those standards, but they also pass viral penetration testing.
If that wasn’t enough, these gloves have also been tested against 29 chemotherapy drugs. This is based on the ASTM D6978 - 05 “Standard Practice for Assessment of Resistance of Medical Gloves to permeation by Chemotherapy Drugs.” This also tests the gloves against other common chemicals found in a healthcare environment.
Latex and Powder-Free
The Halyard Purple Nitrile Gloves are also excellent for those with allergies related to latex rubber. There is no natural rubber latex used at all within the product.
