EDGE defibrillator electrodes are for use with the LIFEPAK series of defibrillators by Physio-Control. Defibrillators are used to deliver shock therapy to someone suffering from sudden cardiac arrest.

The Physio-Control LIFEPAK series of automated external defibrillators (AEDs) is trusted by first responders and emergency medical services (EMS) personnel to deliver lifesaving treatment when it’s needed most. They are frequently used both in emergency situations as part of first aid response, or in hospital settings.

The electrode pads can be pre-connected to any Physio-Control LIFEPAK model defibrillator, which eliminates time-consuming pad changes and promotes continuity of patient care. They are designed to bond to all skin textures while distributing current over the entire surface area of the defibrillator pad (rather than concentrating it only at the edges). The unique shape reduces the risk of burns commonly associated with the defibrillation procedure.

With a lead wire length of 42 inches, first responders have plenty of room to administer treatment without having to worry about having enough slack on the cable. EDGE defibrillator electrodes are capable of delivering up to 50 shocks at 360 Joules (25 for the pediatric size of electrodes). The radio transparent design of both the adult and pediatric sized electrodes does not interfere with x-ray images, saving valuable time by not having to remove electrodes when performing diagnostic imaging during an emergency.
