This yellow Intellisense Lithium Battery powers the Powerheart AED G3 model and is an OEM product that comes from Cardiac Science. Each long-life replacement battery undergoes thorough testing at Cardiac Science before being sold, and these rigorous testing practices ensure that every AED battery is free of factory defects before it leaves the manufacturing facility.

These batteries are newly manufactured and not refurbished. Once installed in your G3 AED, the unit performs a daily self-test to ensure the battery is in working order. It has a four year warranty starting from the date of installation.

Benefits of the Cardiac Science Powerheart G3 Battery

Internal Intellisense battery circuitry works with Cardiac Science’s patented Rescue Ready technology to relay information about the battery’s performance, capacity, and other data points to your Powerheart AED. The defibrillator and the battery work together to ensure full lifesaving capability at all times. To ensure functionality at a moment’s notice, the device performs a number of daily checks on its battery, software and hardware. Every week, the AED completes a partial charge of the high voltage electronics. Every month, it fully charges the high voltage electronics.

*Please note that while the Cardiac Science Powerheart G3 replacement is a lithium battery, it is non-rechargeable. Rechargeable batteries are not compatible with the Powerheart G3.

Once the AED begins alerting that the battery needs to be replaced, a new battery must be installed to ensure continued presence and functionality. Remember to replace the Powerheart G3’s battery pack as soon as possible to not interrupt the unit’s lifesaving capabilities. Keep in mind that if a battery is left in the Powerheart defibrillator after its expiration date, the unit may not be able to perform its daily self checks that are essential to ensuring its readiness. The unit checks a number of components during its self-checks: the hardware, software, and AED pads. One of these components may fail if there is an extended period of time between when a battery fails and when the new one is installed. In that case, the Powerheart G3 won’t be able to perform its intended function properly.

This battery is approved for use in the following models of Powerheart AED G3: 9300E, 9300A, 9390E, and 9390A devices shipped after April 12, 2004.

The use of batteries not manufactured by Cardiac Science or any aftermarket batteries/electrode pads in your Powerheart AED G3 will void the warranty and is not recommended by Cardiac Science. Penn Care is an authorized distributor of Cardiac Science AED accessories for the Powerheart G3, such as adult electrode pads and pediatric pads.
