Recognized for the seventh year with the prestigious Life Safety Achievement Award, the department has three fire stations strategically located throughout the city, allowing for a 4-minute average response time. Penn Care is proud to assist the Westerville Fire Department in continuing to provide exceptional service to its community with the recent delivery of a new 2010 E-450 Braun Chief XL ambulance.

The 2010 E-450 Braun Chief XL ambulance was delivered to the at 400 W Main Street in December 2010. Chief Bernard Engles highlighted the body design and cost as the major points in purchasing the Braun Chief XL for the department.  All Braun ambulance models feature the manufacturer’s SolidBody Construction. The ambulance is built as one integrated module from a .125″ flat-sheet piece of marine grade aluminum, helping to reduce weight, add strength, and keep the body safer in the event of an accident.
