When extra suction volum is needed, an alternative LCSU 4 version is available. This version has a 800ml Canister supported by a Wire Stand bracket. The Canister is disposable, it can not be cleaned. The Canister has an internal filter in the lid and mecanical shutoff valve that protects against contamination and overflow. To increase filtration efficiency the Vacuum Tube may be replaced with a High Efficiency Filter Kit. The Kit is used in situations where there is a high risk of cross-contamination.

Warranty:
• Limited Warranty: The LCSU 4 (item 880051 & 880061) comes with a two (2) year limited warranty, excluding the Canisters, Tubing systems and Battery. See the enclosed “Laerdal Global Warranty” for terms and conditions.
• The Battery is warranted for 90 days.
• NOTE: The warranty periods for suction units and batteries begin when Laerdal ships to the customer or distributor. If inventory is maintained for stock purposes, please be sure to rotate the products by purchase dates. To maximize the shelf-life of batteries it is strongly recommended to deplete all inventory within 6 months from time of purchase.
 
Battery:
• The LCSU 4 must be placed on charge for a minimum of 5 hours to reach full battery capacity.
• The LCSU 4 must be charged between each clinical use – to maintain satisfactory operation of the battery.
• To prolong Battery lifetime, it is recommended to place the Battery on continuous charge. It will not harm the unit. If continuous charging is not possible, charge Battery for minimum 5 hours once a month.
• If LCSU 4 battery is kept on constant charge, perform device test at least once a month to exercise battery.
• Do not store the battery when it is discharged. Always fully charge the battery before storage.
• Replace the battery when it does not pass Battery Test or after 2 years, whichever comes first.
• The battery warranty period starts when Laerdal ships the battery to the customer or distributor.  Although not a requirement, Laerdal expects the batteries shipped to be placed into Service (and start recharge cycle) within one year.
