One of the most unpredictable situations that EMS personnel and medics can encounter is water rescue — and a rescue’s success is dependent upon the right equipment. FastLane knows this and has designed their Swift Water rescue vehicle units with the functionality to perform at peak level when needed most, making their vehicles second to none in the industry. The result of many years of planning and continuous integration of rescue data, this newest line of vehicles features top-of-the-industry, fully-welded, stainless manifolds and waterways. Stainless steel braided hoses with machined fittings are standard. Choose from a variety of multiple pumps, tanks, and foam options.
The FastPLEX system is fully programmable and multiplexed with advanced features such as a full video touch screen control interface, integrated incident timers with audible notifications, and complete monitoring capabilities for system-wide control. FastPLEX monitors ALL FastLane added components meaning that you will no longer have to ensure that the truck is plugged in or remove the radios from the portable chargers before parking it. FastPLEX will monitor all loads and shut down any item before the vehicle’s battery system reaches critically low levels, thus extending charging systems and battery life. This ensures the vehicle is always “ready for service” before getting started.
The Swift Water has a combination of a commercial body with customized compartmentation for modified use in swift water rescue operations. Customizations include top mount custom aluminum storage compartments with flip-up lids on gas stays, rear power liftgate to assist rescue squads with loading heavy equipment, and a custom fabricated aluminum boat rack with a front wind deflector.
The vehicle also features two heavy-duty customized boat motor carts modified specifically to ease the pickup, loading, unloading, and storage of boat motors.
