EMS Supplies Contest Enlivens 25th Anniversary

This coming March 17th, Penn Care, Inc. will officially recognize its 25th year in business. That’s 25 years of providing high quality solutions that people were dying to get their hands on (ambulances, IV solution, literally all sorts of items necessary for staying alive).

Have you noticed the vast collection of vintage EMS photos we’ve begun to display on our Facebook wall? This special collection of images is just the tip of the iceberg of everything we’ve got on file that depicts special moments in our history. These images capture the magic of everything from rusty ambulance cot races to throwback shots of EMT buddies hanging out (unable to contain their excitement for ice cream).

Cone Lady

One can only imagine what flavor it was.

Our customers have always played a special role in helping our business flourish and we’re extremely grateful for that. Moreover, as part of our ongoing  25th Anniversary celebration we’ll be holding different contests to celebrate our customers, friends, and loyal fans. These will come in all shapes and sizes and will span across our four divisions. Specific details can be found here, but we’ll be sure to remind you on our blog, Facebook, and Twitter about what’s in the hopper.

Lastly, it’s worth mentioning that this March kicks off our EMS Supply Division promotion, wherein we will be offering products of your choice at 25% off their original list price. That’s not too shabby, right? Just check out our Facebook page and vote using our online poll to select one of three items on sale for the following month. Once the results have been tallied, the item with the most votes will be featured on our online shopping cart at 25% off its list price! Sweet!

Howland FD Prospers from Generous Donations

The women’s auxiliary at Trumbull Memorial Hospital recently presented a check to Chief James Pantalone of the Howland Fire Department for some much needed emergency medical equipment. This donation made it possible for Pantalone and company to purchase four body surface bariatric boards from Penn Care – one for each of their EMS squad ambulances. These specialty devices allow for improved patient comfort and security while being transported.

Along with this generous donation came another substantial gift from The Ladies in Pink at Trumbull Memorial Hospital. Monies were donated to purchase Heart Start Auto External Defibrillators (AEDs) for 3 of Howland’s fire trucks.   These were also purchased from Penn Care.

The Ladies in Pink are comprised of a wonderful group of volunteers that each day deliver gifts, snacks, candy, magazines and supplies to patient rooms. The group is an independent 501 organization and has started a scholarship for students going into a medical field. All of their donations and hard work undoubtedly improves the overall health and well-being of the community they serve.
